About our Club
Delano Snowstormers a local non-profit snowmobile club originally started in the early 70’s, continues strong and active in 2016!
There are 52 memberships (family and individual). The club is a member of the Wright County Snowmobile Association, Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association, Delano Area Chamber of Commerce, and has DNR-Certified Youth Snowmobile Safety Instructors.
Club members organize and perform extensive trail maintenance each spring and fall including creating new trails, build and repair bridges, install signage, maintain equipment and support necessary trail projects throughout the year. Groomer captains and drivers manage grooming responsibilities for more than 45 miles of snowmobile trails with a Wright County Snowmobile Association groomer – operated and maintained by Snowstormers. We take great pride in keeping trail systems maintained and safe for all to ride.
A well-kept club shelter is nestled in the woods along the scenic trail route for snowmobile enthusiasts to enjoy a break from their trail ride.
Organized club rides are scheduled throughout the riding season and occur as trail conditions allow in and around Delano, as well as visits to other Minnesota trail destinations. Snowstormers host a yearly fundraiser in December, conduct youth snowmobile safety training every year in January, organize special club events, and participate in community events throughout the year.
Snowstormers appreciate and respect landowners’ private properties as they allow use of their land for snowmobiling.
Come to Delano/Wright County and enjoy the snowmobile trails. Trail maps are available at local businesses throughout the snowmobile season.
Anyone currently not a member of a snowmobile club, is welcome to join Delano Snowstormers. Club meetings are held the second Monday of each month, 7:30 p.m. at the Delano American Legion Post 377. Call (952) 955-2894 or visit www.delanosnowstormers.com.
