About the Snowstormers

Delano Snowstormers is a non-profit snowmobile club located just west of the Twin Cities in Wright County. The club originated in 1979, incorporated in 1995 and continues strong and very active in 2012. There are 33 club members including all generations of families and individual memberships and all are members of The Wright County Snowmobile Association, MnUSA and Delano Area Chamber of Commerce.

Trail coordinators organize trail set-up and maintenance each spring and fall with the help of fellow club members, groomer captains and drivers manage grooming responsibilities for approximately 45 miles of snowmobile trails, and members who handle various projects all year long. A Wright County Snowmobile Association groomer is operated and maintained solely by Snowstormers to keep trails in great riding condition all season. A well-maintained shelter is nestled in the woods along the trail route for enthusiasts to enjoy a break from their trail ride.

Organized club rides are scheduled and occur as trail conditions allow, as well as visits to other Minnesota trail destinations. Snowstormers conduct youth snowmobile safety training, special club events, a yearly fundraiser and participate in community events throughout the year.

Snowstormers take pride in keeping the trail systems maintained and safe for all to ride. We appreciate and respect landowner’s private properties as they allow us to use their land for snowmobiling. Come to Delano/Wright County and enjoy the snowmobile trails. Trail maps are available at local businesses throughout the areas.
