About our Club
Delano Snowstormers is a local non-profit snowmobile club originally started in 1979, incorporated in 1995, and continues to very strong and active in 2014.
There are approximately 37 memberships (family and individual). Snowstormers continue membership with the Wright County Snowmobile Association (WCSA), Minnesota United Snowmobilers Association (MnUSA), Delano Area Chamber of Commerce and have DNR Certified Youth Snowmobile Safety Training Instructors within the club.
Within the club, there is a board of officers as well as trail coordinators and club members who organize and perform extensive trail maintenance each spring and fall, create new trails, build and repair bridges, install signage, maintain equipment and handle necessary trail projects throughout the year. Groomer captains and drivers manage grooming responsibilities for over 40 miles of snowmobile trails with a Wright County Snowmobile Association groomer operated and maintained by Snowstormers to keep trails safe and in great riding condition. A well-kept club shelter is nestled in the woods along the scenic trail route for snowmobile enthusiasts to enjoy a break from their trail ride.
Organized club rides are scheduled throughout the riding season and occur as trail conditions allow in and around Delano, as well as visits to other Minnesota trail destinations. Snowstormers conduct youth snowmobile safety training every year in January as well as special club events, a yearly fundraiser, and participate in community events throughout the year.
Snowstormers take great pride in keeping the trail systems maintained and safe for all to ride. We appreciate and respect landowner’s private properties as they allow snowmobilers to use their land for snowmobiling. Come to Delano/Wright County and enjoy the snowmobile trails! Trail maps are available at local businesses throughout the Wright County area.
Anyone currently not a member of a snowmobile club, is welcome to join Snowstormers.
Club meetings are the second Monday of each month, 7:30 p.m. at:
